Renault R Space Concept, The Future of MPV

Renault tries to bring a new vehicle which will fit with the various cycles of their consumers. The picture above is one prove about this. That R Space concept is the model that you will need when you have a family. The interior of this car is designed like a Cash Cab. It will allow you to easily transporting your children.

To make it more interesting and seems futuristic, there are around 27 small motors control height adjustable hexahedron platforms on its rear side. These group of motors could be modulated to provides you a flat space, freestyle area for your children to play around, or a boaster seat and table. This rear side will seems like a bar graph which is come to life.

If you transformed the rear seat back into the place to seat, the R-Space will get underway. The power is provided from a small 900cc three cylinder engine, which will be a direct injection and a turbocharger. It will only offer your 110 horsepower and 118 pound feet of torque. Those power is delivered through a dual clutch gearbox. The car is also ‘green’ with only 95g/km of CO2 and 64mpg rate.

Gumpert Tornante: Prettier than Apollo

Gumpert Tornante: Prettier than Apollo

Do you remember the Gumpert Apollo? The car has a world class performance to compete with other vehicles, as well as a good looking face. The design is coming from the firm Touring Superleggera. Now, the Apollo will get a little brother which has a better looking to complete the Gumpert line. It is Gumpert Tornante and according to Google Translate, it is the Italian speak of ‘a hairpin bend’.

Whatever Google said, I think it could mean ‘a Sexy Catfish’. This car will seems like a design leap from Gumpert if you compare it with the Apollo. However even this car has a better looking than the Apollo, it doesn’t necessarily mean that it has no power. It has a 4.2 liter twin turbocharged V8 engine which will gives you 700 horsepower. The transmission is still the same with the Apollo, only with a paddle shifter.

The details still hasn’t yet to be released. The reports on the street said that it is because Gumpert still has an even more powerful version for the future. For Apollo lovers, I suggest you to move to your nearest Gumpert dealer to bring this prettier version home.

Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Uncover its Wraps

Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Uncover its Wraps

Mercedes-Benz is not making to many changes to their 2012 C63 AMG. It still has the exterior styling and even the engine is still carried out here. Actually this is still pretty good, so I don’t think that they need to make any change though. It has 451 horsepower in its 6.2 liter V8 engine under the hood. In fact even if you don’t have the AMG Development package which will adds another 30 hp, it is still a good thing.

Between the few changes in this car, there is an AMG’s 7 speed Speedshift MCT gearbox which is derived in the SL63 AMG. There is also a new controlled efficiency mode, a new power steering pump, and some other very limited changes. Mercedes-Benz said that this C63 will only spend 10 percent less fuel than the previous year’s version.

For the exterior, you will see a redesigned lower apron, daytime running lamps, and new headlamps which will remind you with SL roadster from the front. From the interior, it got a new dashboard which is equipped with LCD screen, three spoke steering wheel, and some additional tech features such as the lane departure warning and internet access.

Another Aventador’s Competitor at Geneva

Another Aventador's Competitor at Geneva

Koenigsegg has officially release their supercar with a hyper machines. The picture above is the Koenigsegg Agera R which we have talked previously, and it is parked at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show. If you are giving the E85 engine in it, the car will provides you a 1,115 horsepower at 6,900 rpm as well as 885 pound feet of torque between 2,700 and 6,170 rpm.

Those awesome power is delivered via their seven speed dual clutch transmission with an electronic differential and paddle shifters. That combination of engine and transmission will bring you from 0 to 62 mph in a glance of 2.9 seconds and 124 mph in 7.5 seconds. And if you are hitting the binders when you are at 124 mph, it will take a total 12.7 seconds to get back to zero.

That speed might caused your tires to wore off, but don’t worry as its tires is rated at 260 miles per hour. That awesome tires, the engine which has the devil ability, is added with a carbon fiber monocoque body to make it a real hypercar. I think it will be very hard to not overcome the speed limit with this car.

Saab 9-5 SportCombi From Geneva

Saab 9-5 SportCombi From Geneva

Finally, it is a return for the Saab 9-5 SportCombi to be looking good once again. It was when the General Motors played a big role in the car market in mid 2000s, the car got some weird shape here and there. The weirdos is including the chrome ringed Dame Edna headlamps which is just simply awful. So, you can predict that the subsequent wagon variant will not be as good as the one that debuted in the late 90s.

However, those all bad news will come to an end, as Saab has officially unveils their new SportCombi variant to their new 9-5, and it is certainly looks good. Beside the addition on its rear windows and some sheetmetal, there is no other significant changes in this transition of 9-5 from a sedan into a proper station wagon.

This car will be available on the market with two engine option: the 2.0 liter turbocharged inline four and 2.8 liter turbo six engine will still be on hand. The larger engine option will be mounted to the Saab’s XWD all wheel drive system, and they are looking to reach the production phase later this year.
